Description

Latrodectus tredecimguttatus is found from the Mediterranean and Central Asia and is the species used in much of literature by Italian and Russian authors. It is the source of alpha-latrotoxin, the latroinsectotoxins and latrocrustatotoxin.

This is variety from from Egypt to Central Asia, in which the females are all black as adults, while juveniles and adult males retain color patterns characteristic of the species.
