Spider Pharm Venom Discovery Collections are custom selections of diverse venoms, which are used in many ways for exploration and research.

In a typical scenario, a you would want toxins with selective activity against specific target. For instance, you might need something that only affect one kind of ion channel, a novel mode of action against an insect pest or a new probes to identify and attack parasites or cancers.

We'll develop some proposals for and on approval, start preparing and shipping your collections. - Do a preliminary evaluation of the collections and let us know which ones look promising
- You will probably want some additional samples for confirmation and, even at this early stage, we frequently need to develop plans for venom production. Many species are seasonal or may available sporadically.
- At this stage, you may want to repeat your test on additional lots of venom and probably want to do a preliminary purification and characterization of the active(s).
- Much larger quantities of venom are frequently required for subsequent research and Spider Pharm is committed to doing whatever we can to insure availability. We might collect or import more animals, set up breeding colonies and can also provide venom glands for mRNA extraction for sequencing or the development of alternate methods of production.

Standard aliquots: 5, 25 and 100 microliters of each venom
Number of venoms: Flexible -- limited by stock, season and availability
