For the past
25+ years, our goal has been to promote and facilitate the exploration
and use of this incredible resource by making them more accessible and
affordable for use in wide variety of research. We offer a diverse and constantly changing variety of spider, scorpion, insect and
other venoms and other preparations, frequently customizing efforts and
production to the needs of specific research projects.
This includes:

Preparation of Discovery Collections, including venoms
from diverse species, genera families for discovery work

Using collecting and breeding to scale up production of
individual venoms to satisfy research requirements

Providing dissected venom glands and other tissues for
the development of cDNA libraries and alternate methods of expression
A variety of common, non-hazardous live spiders are available for use in science
projects, lessons and labs.
Preserved and gel-mounted specimens of
hazardous and non-hazardous spiders, scorpions and centipedes are also
available.

houseflies and breeding kits for
feeders, bioassays and other applications
Our goal is to
facilitate the exploration and use of spiders in research and education,
which frequently have unexpected and intriguing applications and
